Helene Rose

"Before You Watch Me Fall"

Helene wrote, performed, recorded, and mixed an original song, with the help of colleague, David Bonilla.  The heartfelt ballad includes vocals, piano, and a string quartet. (2016)

Selling Multiple Songs

Helene has sold six original songs within the past year to Marc Mouton, a video producer and director based out of New Orleans, Louisiana.  These songs will eventually be used in a religious-based movie titled Arms of Truth.  One of the songs, titled He is Everything, can be heard below through SoundCloud. (2015-present)

Songwriting Skills

Although Helene has years of experience in songwriting, she recently has been working on writing and producing the songs through the comfort of her own home.  Aside from composing on the piano, Helene has taken songwriting to the next level by adding realistic instruments through music software. (2014-present)

Selling Album at Barnes and Noble

Since the year 2012, Helene's original album, “I Give My All”, has been selling at the Barnes and Noble in Mandeville, Louisiana.  She also receives a share of profits made off of the CDs, and has to occasionally check if they are still in stock. The album includes five original songs, recorded and produced by Robert Sturcken, and accompanied by the late Joseph Winters. 

Blackwater Brass

Contributed to the production, mixing, and mastering of the album "From the Cupboard" by the Blackwater Brass Band, which originated in Hattiesburg, Mississippi (2017).

"Hunting 4 U"

Helene helped college Hannah Frosch record and produce Helene's original single, "Hunting 4 U", while recording with analog tape (December 2017).

Senior Capstone Project

For her senior Capstone course at The University of Southern Mississippi, Helene composed an EP album (Fragments of a Fragile Heart) with five original songs, produced the songs, and mastered each song for the final product.

Helene Rose

This original song that Helene composed after the passing of close relatives really caught the eye of many people.   She helped on the recording and production of this song, alongside the help of Robert Sturcken of Center of Performing Arts in Covington, Louisiana.

The production of this music video is from Emmanuel Chastain, a colleague she attended New Orleans Center of Performing Arts with.  In 2015, she sold the song to producer and director Marc Mouton.  

Appearance on WGNO

Helene was granted the opportunity to appear on the WGNO news station in New Orleans, Louisiana. On this day, she was interviewed about her upcoming album she was releasing, as well as her original song, “In Heaven”. She also performed my song on piano and sang live on the news. (2011)

SCR Fest/Hub Fest

Helene helped set up at a festival held by the University of Southern Mississippi record company, South City Records (SCR).  During this event, Helene set up sound equipment, prepared the local artists to perform, and helped take down the sound equipment after the event.

Facebook Support Group Anthem

Helene wrote an original song for a support group (Thrive After Abuse) on Facebook (2017).

The group contains 52,000 members, and Helene recently was added on as an administrator.  She accepts members, monitors the page, and communicates with members and other administrators daily.
